Are you up for the challenge?  Well we have one for you!Join us in 2025 for a passport to fun as we offer you a 50 mile hiking challenge in our parks.  That's right, we want you to get out and explore nature and by doing so you can win an awesome Greene County Parks & Trails prize. Starting on 03/01/2025, you can stop by our headquarters to get your Passport Pathways book for a year of fun.  Hike at least 50 miles in one of our parks (bike trails included) and then bring your documented passport to our office for your certified stamp.  You can come after each walk or all at the end, your choice.  This passport program is based on the honor system so be sure to document your mileage inside your passport.  This will end on 12/31/2025.Once we have verified your 50 miles, you will receive a gift from our agency.  This program is one passport and gift per family, not each family member.  Biking is not included in this challenge.  This passport program is separate from the Bark Ranger program and the two cannot be combined, you must complete each passport separately.  This is an independent hiking program, our organized hikes do not count towards the 50 miles Get out and explore!

"Come One Come All" to the GCP&T Ice Cream Social where Seniors (Ages 55 & Up) will join together with the WiggleHoppers (Ages 2-9) to chill out and enjoy some delicious ice cream on a summer afternoon at the Fairgrounds Recreation Center Park (Large Shelter area)!This is an inter-generational event in the park, where the Seniors and WiggleHoppers will have the opportunity to meet and greet each other to share time together in the park at this program!  You may even tell some stories about your favorite childhood memories attending ice cream socials or just enjoying the fabulous taste of your favorite ice cream treat!  Please join us at the park to socialize, share memories, and eat lots of delicious, cold ice cream!  This is a FREE program.  Registration is required due to ice cream/supplies provided for the program.Picnic tables are available.  Please bring along a comfortable chair or cushion for your comfort if you prefer.The Fairgrounds Recreation Center Park is located at:  210 Fairground Road, Xenia, Ohio, next to the Greene County Fairgrounds.

Come join us along with other senior members of our community at the Fairgrounds Recreation Center Park (Large Shelter) for a delicious PICNIC IN THE PARK!There will be lots of good food fit for a picnic including hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, veggies, & refreshing drinks.  We will spend time together in the park sharing fun memories of our past and present, socializing and meeting new friends all while enjoying your scenic park atmosphere.  Eating outside in nature and sharing time together are very positive and beneficial ways to nourish our heart and soul!Please plan to eat, drink, and make new friends as we share time together at the Fairgrounds Recreation Center Park located at:  210 Fairground Road, Xenia, Ohio - next to the Greene County Fairgrounds!  See you there.This is a free program for those Ages 55 & Up.  Picnic tables are available.  You are welcome to bring your own chair or cushion for your comfort.Registration is required due to supplies needed for this event.

Each week, we will get our heart rate up and get moving while enjoying the outdoors in our beautiful parks. Walks are guided and self-paced. Greene County Parks & Trails, Fairborn Parks and Recreation and the City of Beavercreek Parks Department have teamed up to provide walks all over Greene County.Walks are on Thursdays, 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.All walks are rated for difficulty with a 1 being the easiest and a 3 being the most difficult. Ratings consider terrain, elevation changes, etc.

Join the Greene County Parks & Trails Ranger Division for the first Cruise-In of the summer, right in your backyard. Bring out the classic cars, trucks, bikes, and all the family for an evening of fun as we fill Caesar Ford Park with oldies music, laughter, food, friendship and more.  This is FREE to attend and each car that participants will be eligible for great door prizes.   In the event of inclement weather, the event will be cancelled.

It's mammal mania during this week of fun, furry friends. Your little on will love learning about the mammals that share our world through games, crafts and animal activities.

At Camp Weebalong, we believe nature is for all bodies, all brains and all living beings.  This half-day camp will feature all of our summer camp fun in a way that is accessible for people of all abilities!  Campers will be paired with a buddy to help guide them through the week's activities.  We will explore basic outdoor skills, water safety and fun, critters, rocks and dinos, and all things slimy!  Campers will have the time of their lives exploring the outdoors in every way they are able!  Due to the individual nature of this camp, caregivers are required to stay with campers and help with all self care, leave the rest to us!  After registration, you will receive a questionnaire about your camper's ability level and interests so we can make sure they get the most out of Camp Weebalong!

At Camp Weebalong, we believe nature is for all bodies, all brains and all living beings.  This half-day camp will feature all of our summer camp fun in a way that is accessible for people of all abilities!  Campers will be paired with a buddy to help guide them through the week's activities.  We will explore basic outdoor skills, water safety and fun, critters, rocks and dinos, and all things slimy!  Campers will have the time of their lives exploring the outdoors in every way they are able!  Due to the individual nature of this camp, caregivers are required to stay with campers and help with all self care, leave the rest to us!  After registration, you will receive a questionnaire about your camper's ability level and interests so we can make sure they get the most out of Camp Weebalong!

Have you ever had the desire to decorate beautiful cakes but you didn't quite know where to start?  Well how about start with us and our new Cake Decorating classes being held at Clifton Lodge and Reserve?Through a partnership with ele Cake Co., we are offering a series of 4 different cake decorating classes.  You must register for each class individually.  Each registered guest will receive one ele cake with an assortment of ele icing, fondant as well as instruction on how to create these masterpieces.  Once finished, you will take your cake home to enjoy.Classes will last approximately 45 minutes.

Each week, we will get our heart rate up and get moving while enjoying the outdoors in our beautiful parks. Walks are guided and self-paced. Greene County Parks & Trails, Fairborn Parks and Recreation and the City of Beavercreek Parks Department have teamed up to provide walks all over Greene County.Walks are on Thursdays, 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.All walks are rated for difficulty with a 1 being the easiest and a 3 being the most difficult. Ratings consider terrain, elevation changes, etc.

Come join us at the Fairgrounds Recreation Center Park (Large Shelter) to create your very own art masterpiece all while enjoying the park atmosphere!You will receive a blank canvas, paint, and supplies to use during the program to create your masterpiece.  You may draw or paint your favorite object or person, paint a nature scene in the park, and just enjoy socializing with others during this fun program!This program is FREE for Ages 55 & Up, but registration is required.  Picnic tables are available.  Please bring your own chair or cushion for your comfort.  Fairgrounds Recreation Center Park is located at 210 Fairground Road, Xenia, Ohio 45385 - next to the Greene County Fairgrounds.

Each week, we will get our heart rate up and get moving while enjoying the outdoors in our beautiful parks. Walks are guided and self-paced. Greene County Parks & Trails, Fairborn Parks and Recreation and the City of Beavercreek Parks Department have teamed up to provide walks all over Greene County.Walks are on Thursdays, 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.All walks are rated for difficulty with a 1 being the easiest and a 3 being the most difficult. Ratings consider terrain, elevation changes, etc.

Greene County Parks & Trails, Fairborn Parks and Recreation and the City of Beavercreek Parks Department have teamed up to provide walks all over Greene County.Walks are on Thursdays, 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.All walks are rated for difficulty with a 1 being the easiest and a 3 being the most difficult. Join us at the Fairgrounds Recreation Center Park (Large Shelter) to learn some gardening tips for creating and maintaining unique porch pots that will add color and beauty to your own front or back porch!A representative from the Ohio State University (OSU) Extension Office Greene County, will be leading this fun and informational program to provide ideas in reference to the topic of "Porch Pots".  Helpful tips and instructions will be presented regarding creating, planting, and maintaining plants in pots.  Please join us at the park for this interesting topic!This is a FREE program.  RESERVATIONS are required due to supplies needed.Picnic tables are available.  Please bring a chair or cushion for your comfort if you prefer. Fairgrounds Recreation Center Park is located at:  210 Fairground Road, Xenia, Ohio - next to the Greene County Fairgrounds.

Then join our week-long Junior Ranger Academy if you are up for the challenge.Youth, ages 12-17, will spend a week with the Ranger Division completing exciting missions and experiencing nature first-hand.Cadets will get experience in:Hiking/FishingBike Safety...including ice creamGun Safety...and so much more!Thursday will include an overnight (tents provided) at the Narrows Reserve complete with a cookout!  There will be a graduation ceremony on Friday, parents are encouraged to attend!Registrants will receive a detailed email regarding drop-off and pick-up locations after registration is complete.

Are you up for the challenge?  Well we have one for you!Join us in 2025 for a passport to fun as we offer you a 50 mile hiking challenge in our parks.  That's right, we want you to get out and explore nature and by doing so you can win an awesome Greene County Parks & Trails prize. Starting on 03/01/2025, you can stop by our headquarters to get your Passport Pathways book for a year of fun.  Hike at least 50 miles in one of our parks (bike trails included) and then bring your documented passport to our office for your certified stamp.  You can come after each walk or all at the end, your choice.  This passport program is based on the honor system so be sure to document your mileage inside your passport.  This will end on 12/31/2025.Once we have verified your 50 miles, you will receive a gift from our agency.  This program is one passport and gift per family, not each family member.  Biking is not included in this challenge.  This passport program is separate from the Bark Ranger program and the two cannot be combined, you must complete each passport separately.  This is an independent hiking program, our organized hikes do not count towards the 50 miles Get out and explore!

What could be more enchanting than an evening filled with the glittering flashes of fireflies? Bring the whole family out to catch fireflies, make firefly crafts, follow the glow trail, play games, and learn cool facts about these amazing insects.Bring a flashlight, wear bug spray and bring an insect net if you have one. A limited number of insect nets will be available to borrow for the event. You do not need to arrive at 8:30 p.m. for this program. Please arrive no later than 9:30 p.m. to allow yourself time to enjoy all that the program has to offer. The program ends at 10:00 p.m.This is a FREE program, registration is not required.  Some supplies may be limited due to attendance numbers.
