Babbling Bunnies - Babbling Bunnies: Beach Play
Parks are full of baby bunnies...but do they have babbling bunnies? Well we hope!We are offering programming for babies/tots from the ages of 6 months to 23 months.Each session will be one hour long and will include projects/activities that the kids can do with assistance of their adult companion. You are not required to attend for the entire hour, stop in at your leisure allowing time to complete the activities. Parents/guardians are required to help.

They will also be bringing a few birds along for you to see up close and get the opportunity to observe!We look forward to seeing you at this informative and fun program taking place at the Greene County Parks & Trails Satellite Building located at: 623 Dayton-Xenia Road, Xenia, (located just in front of the GCP&T Headquarters).Tables are available. Greene Grasshoppers: Big Fun for Little Hoppers!Get ready for a summer full of giggles, games, and good times! Greene Grasshoppers is all about giving kids ages 6–9 (5 if in kindergarten) a chance to jump into exciting, hands-on activities in our parks. Each month from June through October brings a brand-new theme and a new reason to play!Programs run from 6–8 p.m., and you can hop in anytime during those two hours—just make sure you leave enough time to experience it all. Best of all, it’s completely free and no registration is needed. Just show up ready to have fun!

Each week, we will get our heart rate up and get moving while enjoying the outdoors in our beautiful parks. Walks are guided and self-paced. Greene County Parks & Trails, Fairborn Parks and Recreation, the City of Beavercreek Parks Department and Beavercreek Wetlands Reserve have teamed up to provide walks all over Greene County.Walks are on Thursdays, 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.All walks are rated for difficulty with a 1 being the easiest and a 3 being the most difficult. Rating consider terrain, elevation changes, etc.

Our unique Wiggle Worms program is designed to introduce children, ages 2-5, to the natural world through play and fun!Each month our Wiggle Worms will enjoy programs of different topics. This half-day camp will feature all of our summer camp fun in a way that is accessible for people of all abilities! Campers will be paired with a buddy to help guide them through the week's activities. We will explore basic outdoor skills, water safety and fun, critters, rocks and dinos, and all things slimy! Campers will have the time of their lives exploring the outdoors in every way they are able! Due to the individual nature of this camp, caregivers are required to stay with campers and help with all self care, leave the rest to us! After registration, you will receive a questionnaire about your camper's ability level and interests so we can make sure they get the most out of Camp Weebalong!

"Leon Day" is a fun and whimsical observance that marks the halfway point between January and December of each year! "Leon" is "Noel" spelled backwards, which adds a festive twist to this mid-year celebration. For Christmas enthusiasts, Leon Day is known for offering a chance to enjoy a little holiday cheer in the middle of the year, whether by starting holiday preparations early or simply indulging in some Christmas-themed music. This race is for participants of all abilities, with pedal trikes available for use. What party doesn't have food? Yep that's right, we will have FREE hot dogs available as well (while supplies last). Greene County Bike Tour for Veteran Suicide Prevention - Greene County Bike Tour for Veteran Suicide Prevention
This one day ride will showcase the extensive trail system in Greene County with all proceeds benefiting the Greene County Suicide Prevention Veteran Subcommittee. Planned routes of 10, 30, and 50 miles will be supported with rest stops and refreshments. The Greene Country Trail Sentinel volunteers will be out on the trails throughout the ride to assist the participants. The ride start time is between 8am - 9am from the Fairgrounds Recreation Center and will pass along the Creekside Trail, The Little Miami Scenic Trail, Xenia-Jamestown Connector and the Ohio to Erie Trail.Each registered participant will receive a commemorative t-shirt for their participation in the event. Registrations must be received by June 14th in order to receive your shirt. Registrations after that date will not receive one.
