Wellness Walkers - Autumn/Winter '25/'26 - Wellness Walkers - Autumn/Winter Each week, we will get our heart rate up and get moving while enjoying the outdoors in our beautiful parks. Walks are guided and self-paced. Greene County Parks & Trails, Fairborn Parks and Recreation and the City of Beavercreek Parks Department have teamed up to provide walks all over Greene County.Walks are on Thursdays, 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.All walks are rated for difficulty with a 1 being the easiest and a 3 being the most difficult. Ratings consider terrain, elevation changes, etc.

Greene Labs- Hands on Homeschool Science for Teens - Maple Sugaring NEW monthly drop off program for homeschool teens that dives into nature and science through hands on learning. Indoor and Outdoor labs with topics like dissections, plant science, earth science, ecology, geology, zoology, biology, chemistry, meteorology and more! Guest speakers who are experts in their fields will be utilized when possible! Your kids won't want to miss these!*** All sessions will be held outdoors, please dress to get dirty and for the weather. ***

Urban Homesteading 101 - Urban Homesteading 101 ***NEW LOCATION FOR 2026***
Back by popular demand! Join us, and some amazing guest speakers, as we dive into an Urban farming adventure. During this Urban Homesteading series, you will learn the basics of using the space you have to grow produce and more. This series is great for those who live in urban and rural areas and want to learn how to start their own homestead. You don’t need 50 acres to grow your own resources! February Class

Going to the grocery can really put a dent in your wallet in 2026! This session will go over the basics of urban homesteading, preparing you for a bountifully abundant year. getting started can be overwhelming, we will break it all down into easy to follow steps and will help you understand the ins and outs of urban homesteading!
March Class
Build
Winter seed starting is a great way to get the start on your abundance for the year! In this session we will start some greens in a milk jug. Soil and seeds will be provided, bring your own milk jugs! We will also discuss different ways you can garden in small spaces with containers and indoor grow towers!
April Class
Grow
Now we are prepared and have started some seeds, we move on to GROW! Abundance in small spaces is achievable! This session will discuss container gardening, soil, and getting the most from the space you have. From 5 acres or 5 feet you can grow abundance!
May Class
Harvest
You've got plants growing and now we prepare for harvest! Our guest speaker is a urban homesteader who is passionate about sharing knowledge with community. They will go through, step by step, the process of preserving your harvest so you can enjoy garden fresh goodies throughout the year!
Guests that attend all sessions will receive a gift from our department.

Maple Sugaring Camp Tours - Maple Sugaring Camp Tour Experience the magic of turning maple sap into syrup as you walk through the winter woods. Guided tours will show you how to identify sugar maple trees, how syrup has been made throughout history, and more. Tours end at our sugar shack and include a tasty sample of our "liquid gold."In the event of inclement weather we will do our best to reschedule your group on a different day. The tours are FREE however we are limited with parking. Spots will be filled first come, first serve by calling 937-562-6440 to register. Registrations will be taken from 8a-4p, Monday - Friday.Program dates are 02/21 & 02/2810 am & 1 pmSpace is limited.
